Our holiday rental agency Keyweek is looking for his or her next intern to join its Experience Team early September ! It’s the perfect opportunity for us to take the time to introduce you to our super interns working hard everyday to offer you amazing holidays in the Basque Country !
Keyweek’s Experience Team to your service for your holidays
As summer season is in full speed, it’s not uncommon to see our experts in the streets of Biarritz or strolling around the whole Basque Coast ! Did we ever told you about our Experience Team, the one who’s always welcoming you with open arms for your holidays and who is here to make every of your wishes come true ?
Hugo, Antoine, Romain and Léa (as well as many Keyweek members who help out during peak season !) are KEYWEEK’s field force, they take care of you as soon as you arrive, throughout your stay, and even there to say goodbye and wish you to come back again. We wanted to find out what it was like to work on a daily-basis as a Experience intern…
We also wanted to ask a few questions to Romain and Léa, the last additions to our Experience team for the 2018 summer season :
What are you in charge of at KEYWEEK ?
Romain : When you are an Experience Team member, you mainly organize our wonderful guests’ arrival and you make sure that their KEYWEEK experience goes as smoothly as possible ! It goes from welcoming them at the holiday rental they booked on the Basque Coast, to the booking of activities or a table at a restaurant, to delivering valuable advice on things to do in the Basque Country, to managing bed linen and property maintenance.
Léa : We also take care of stock management, e-mails, and follow-up with our partners ! To sum it up, it’s a rather challenging job requesting multi-tasking and to be alert ! It’s a awesome way to experience a management role dealing with every aspect regarding logistics, customer service, admin, etc.
What do you enjoy the most working with KEYWEEK ?
Romain : Probably meeting with people coming from all walks of life, share stories with them. We make them dream but THEY also make us dream by coming from iconic holiday destinations such as Hawaii, Brazil, Australia… My internship at KEYWEEK also gives me the opportunity to speak English and to work with new softwares and organizational tools.
Léa : What I enjoy the most ? Probably the pain aux chocolats (chocolatines in the Southwest of France) and the fresh orange juice every Saturday mornings (and sometimes during the week 😉 and the great atmosphere within the whole team, for sure !
Something you don’t really like about your daily routine ?
Léa : I walk too much so I can’t wear high heels ! 😀
Your favorite KEYWEEK holiday rental to live in ? Your favorite KEYWEEK service ? A good address you would recommend to our guests ?
Romain : I would love to live at SUNSET because it’s a house so close to the ocean between Bidart and Guéthary, I feel so good and at peace there ! The location is amazing, not too far from a small chapel overlooking the ocean and a great surfing spot called Parlementia. If I could choose a KEYWEEK service for my holidays, I would definitely take a surfing lesson with the Delpero Brothers. To eat out ? I would definitely recommend La Tantina de Burgos at Côte des Basques, because it’s warm and friendly place all year long, serving good and genuine food !
Léa : ODIN BEACH in Anglet, for its location and amazing architecture (and for the views from the master bedroom of course….). While on holidays, I would probably book home-delivered breakfasts as I absolutely love good and healthy breakfasts, especially if they can be enjoyed in a dreamy villa or a design apartment !
And as a great spot to eat out, I strongly recommend our guests to go to Blue Cargo down to Ilbarritz Beach as it’s the perfect location right on the beach to enjoy a sweet cocktail at sunset !
A funny anecdote about your experience ?
Romain : It’s hard to think about one yet as I’ve just started (and the season is not over yet !), but just the fact of chatting with a guest coming from Honolulu in Hawaii is quite amazing !
Léa : One day one of our guests made an unusual request : to have a fan in the bedroom so his wife could sleep ! It was so sweet of him to think about all the little details !
